Sonya Stevens has been a tv meteorologist for over 12 years. After graduating from N.C. State with a meteorology degree, she began her career in Abilene, Texas. Sonya has also worked in Wilmington, North Carolina, and at WMAZ in Macon, Georgia. Sonya was awarded the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation by the American Meteorological Society in 2010. She is currently working in her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, as the weekend meteorologist. Sonya not only loves forecasting the weather, but teaching it to kids and adults. In her spare time, Sonya enjoys working out, playing music, and hanging out with friends and family. Sonya and her husband, Ed, have a two year old daughter named Weatherly.
